Announcer: Lady Announcer used to present Vakya Geet. (I have forgotten her name. Please remind me if you know.)

The sound sleep of Sunday Morning did not allow me to listen to the morning transmission. I could listen to the following part only.

Time: 8.00AM to  8.30AM

Program: Aap Hi Ke Geet

Kajrare Kajrare Tere Kare Kare Naina – Alisha Chinoy – Bunty Aur Babli

 Khudaya Khair – Billu Barber

Announcer: The lady used to present VAKYA GEET during evening transmission.

Time: 8.00AM to 8.30AM
Program: Aap Hi Ke Geet

I tuned my radio late today (may be the Sunday forced me leave the bed late). I could listen to the above program only.

The first song was Kajrare Kajrare Tere Kare Kare Naina – Alisha Chinoy – Bunty Aur Babli

Second was No Entry – Alisha Chinoy & Sonu Nigam – Title Song

Next three songs were sung by Adnan Sami, Udit Narayan & Chorus. I could not trace Video/Audio files on web.

Today I have a rare gem, for you, from Moti Mahal (1952). This song is frequently played on Radio SLBC (Ceylon). The singer is Suraiya (not Shamshad Begum). Written by Prem Dhawan & Composed by Hansraj Behl. A Fun Song. Please listen:

Kabhi Na Bigde Kisi Ki Motor Raste Me – Suraiya

I was searching the net for some more gems and to my surprise I could find the song which my father used to sing quite often. The song was sung by Suraiya & Talat Mehmood, film “Waris (1954)”, Writer “Qamar Jalabadi” and composed by the great “Anil Biswas”. And the song is:

Rahi Matwale Tu Chhed Ik Baar Mann Ka Sitar – After so many days I am listening to it. Why don’t you:
