I wish all the readers of this blog Happy Independence Day.

After attending the Religious celebrations of Janmashtami, till late night, I woke up late today morning. A special program on the occasion of Independence Day of India was being aired. Radio Signal was strong during the broadcast myself listened to.

Songs Played Twice In A Program

Dear Friends

Those who were listening to Radio Ceylon during Seventies & Eighties could remember some of the songs played twice in succession during Man Chahe Geet (aired at 8.00 AM) and on Sundays (after 11O’Clock, when all the sponsered programs were complete). This behaviour was not accidental/incidental, it was due to the huge farmayish received from the listeners. I am presenting the songs to revive your memories.

The first song is “Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Jindagi Mein Aaye” – Qurbani – Nazia Hasan – Biddu

and the next I can recall is “Neele Neele Ambar Se” – Kalakaar – Kishore Da – Bappi Lahiri
